Urology deals with disturbances of the urinary and reproductive organs.
Medway Maritime Hospital is home to the West Kent Urology Cancer Centre, and we work closely with colleagues at Darent Valley and Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals to support care for patients with cancer.
Services include:
- urology specialist surgery
- specialist care for patients with cancer
- urodynamic testing – an assessment of how the bladder and urethra are performing their job of storing and realising urine
- nurse-led clinics – measures the flow of urine to determine why your bladder and urethra are not working properly
