Call: 01634 833950
Interventional radiology is a technique where clinicians use guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases in almost every organ system. These minimally invasive techniques reduce infection rates and have shorter recovery times. The procedures are often performed as day surgery, or an overnight stay for the patient.
Interventional radiology services cover many areas including:
- vascular
- urological
- gynaecological
- arterial
- venous access
- emergency service for the management of bleeding patients.
This service is provided by a team of specialist radiologists, radiographers and nursing staff.
For specific procedures you will receive a leaflet with your appointment letter or this will be given to you and discussed at your pre-assessment appointment.
