We are inviting patients, local residents and stakeholders to join us as we launch our Clinical Strategy at a special event on Friday 10 May.
Our Clinical Strategy is our long term plan to improve services at the hospital. We will be showcasing some of the advances we are already making through innovation and technology to transform services to keep our community healthy and have the best possible experience of our care.
- Come and meet our teams
- See our pharmacy robot in action
- Experience how Virtual Reality technology is helping patients during procedures
- Learn about how we are reducing waiting times to treat more patients sooner in our day surgery unit
- Visit stands for services which support our Clinical Strategy aims, such as healthy living, prevention and our improvement programme Patient First.
Chief Medical Officer Alison Davis said: “This is an exciting moment for us as we announce our vision for our services over the next three, five and 10 years. We are ambitious and while we know that some of our services are already excellent, we know we have work to do on others. The strategy sets out where we want to be and how we will get there, and has our improvement programme, Patient First at its heart.”
Chief Executive Jayne Black said: “I would like to encourage everyone who uses our hospital, or who may use it in the future, to come along and find out what we are aiming for. We are setting our standards high and would like you to see some of the progress we are already making to embrace new methods of delivering quality care.
“I would also like to thank everyone who took the opportunity last year to share your views with us to help shape this strategy. Your input was very valuable and we are confident that our final strategy reflects the issues that matter most to you.”
The event will be open to stakeholders, Trust members and local residents and will be held in our restaurant, Below Deck Dining (Level 1, Purple Zone) from 3pm to 5pm on Friday 10 May. Places must be booked in advance in order for us to manage numbers.
The event will begin with a short presentation. We will then take small groups to visit the pharmacy department to see the new robot in action. Spaces on these tours are limited and must also be reserved in advance, and are available on a first-come, first served basis. Attendees not booked on a pharmacy visit can remain the restaurant for the demonstrations and stands.
To attend the event, please reserve your place by contacting the Trust Membership Office.
When contacting us, please also let us know if you would like to visit the pharmacy robot and if so, how many places you would like on a tour. Please advise us of any accessibility requirements
