Thanks to a development grant from NHS Charities Together, a new Charity and Volunteers’ hub has been officially opened at Medway Maritime Hospital by The Medway Hospital Charity’s mascot Tedway.
The vibrant, multi-purpose space has been rebranded and now includes a Tap to Donate point, making it easier to donate. The hub’s purpose is to increase the impact of The Medway Hospital Charity by making it easier to support their work.
Donna Law, Manager of The Medway Hospital Charity, said: “We are so thankful for the grant from NHS Charities Together, which has funded the new graphics and Tap to Donate point in main reception.
“We know so many people are grateful for the care given by our incredible teams and want to give something back to say thank you.
“The Tap to Donate point is an incredibly easy way to make a donation. Available 24 hours a day, all you need to do is select your chosen amount (from £3 to £50) and tap the unit with your card or phone.
“Our hospital charity has been helping patients, staff and volunteers since 1995 by purchasing medical equipment, enhancing the hospital environment and supporting the wellbeing of our patients, staff and volunteers. Thank you for all your donations. With your generous gifts, we can continue to make a big difference.”
