Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak, there have been some changes to how the Imaging Department at Medway Maritime Hospital is functioning.
The GP service provided by x-ray remains a walk-in service, however please note the following:
- Social distancing means seating in the waiting room is extremely limited, therefore patients must attend the department alone, unless they require an assistance
- If the waiting area become full, you may be asked to return to your car to wait and will be contacted to return to the department for your imaging slot
The walk-in service has now been extended to Sittingbourne Memorial and Sheppey Community Hospital so no appointment will be necessary.
Should you be attending the department for any other form of imaging, e.g. CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and Dexa, and have an appointment time, please do not attend more the 10 minutes before your appointment time as you will not be able to wait in the waiting area.
All seating is spaced appropriated to maintain the two metres distance and floor markings are provided to ensure queuing is at a safe distance. Please ensure social distancing is maintained at all times and please be patient with our staff. Thank you.
