Medway Maritime Hospital’s Summer Fun Day returns on Friday 2 August to help raise awareness and funds for the hospital charities The Medway Hospital Charity, The Medway League of Friends and The Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust.
Taking place on the Education Centre green, opposite the Emergency Department between 11am and 2pm, visitors, patients and staff will have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities.
There will be music from Hospital Radio Medway, entertainment from All Star Performers, face painting with Emily M Beauty, Gillingham Girlguiding will have some fun games and Busy Bodies with Jess will be running some activities.
Donna Law, Manager of The Medway Hospital Charity said: “We are very grateful for the amazing work all our charities do to support patients, staff and volunteers here at Medway.
“Please do come along to find out more, have fun and help us raise much-needed funds to support the hospital.”
Other highlights include a pre-loved toy and bric-a-brac sale, a cake sale and arts and crafts plus the opportunity to find out more about some of the teams who work in the hospital.
Visitors are encouraged to bring plenty of change for the donation buckets and stands, as not all stallholders will have card machines.
We are also on lookout for donations of baked goods so if you are a keen baker and would like to donate a tasty treat for our cake sale, please let us know by emailing: met-tr.members-medway@nhs.net.
