Jayne Black, Chief Executive of Medway NHS Foundation Trust, is to leave the organisation to take up a new role.
Jayne has been appointed Chief Executive of East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, which provides hospital and community care on the south coast, close to Jayne’s home.
Since joining Medway NHS Foundation Trust four years ago, Jayne has overseen a number of improvements in performance, developing the Trust’s improvement delivery system Patient First, and driving changes to patient care through new pathways, a clinical strategy, and restructuring divisions. She has also led improvements to urgent and emergency care through the Medway and Swale Health and Care Partnership and is Senior Responsible Officer for the Kent and Medway Acute Provider Collaborative.
Medway NHS Foundation Trust Chair, John Goulston, said: “Jayne has been a highly effective and popular leader, bringing colleagues together to focus on improvements to patient care. We will greatly miss her energetic and determined leadership, along with her warmth and humour. We congratulate Jayne and wish her well in her new role.”
The process for the next steps for succession has started.
