We’re very proud of our Medical Education programmes, Knowledge and Library Services and Research and Innovation projects.
The information below is just an introduction to each area. Please follow the links in each section for more details.
Medical Education at Medway
Our extensive undergraduate, foundation and specialty programmes provide our training doctors with a platform to learn and develop in a supportive environment.
We are able to simulate many clinical environments such as operating theatres, A&E resuscitation bays and clinical wards in our well-equipped Simulation Suite and Clinical Skills lab.
Medway Knowledge and Library Service
Our Medway Knowledge and Library Service offers the best resources to support clinical decision making, research, and lifelong professional development to all Medway NHS Foundation Trust staff, students on placement, and other NHS staff working across the Medway health economy.
Clinical Research and Innovation
Medical research is vital in ensuring that medical treatments and healthcare techniques are constantly improving. Medical research has changed the ways we care for and treat people with medical conditions, illnesses and injuries.
At Medway NHS Foundation Trust we aim to cover as many specialist areas as possible from young to old, cancers to infections. Some of our most successful research areas include reproductive health and childbirth, cancer and critical care. We usually have more than 90 studies open at any time.
