From sharing your thoughts and ideas and influencing the way we provide hospital services, to electing our governors or becoming a governor yourself – there are many ways you can help us as a member.
Membership allows local communities to have ownership of their NHS foundation trust and contribute to its future development. We currently have more than 8,000 members and, as the membership continues to grow, so will the links between the hospital and the local community continue to strengthen.
Why become a member?
If you become a member, you will be able to:
- learn more about how the Trust and the wider NHS work
- help us improve patient care by sharing your views and ideas about the services we provide
- be involved in our ambitious plans for the future and have your say
- be invited to meetings and events which give you an insight into our various departments and specialities, including our Annual Members’ Meeting

Who can become a member?
Membership is open to anyone aged 16 years or more who lives in England and Wales.
